In physical public space we are conscious of speaking with our gaze as a social gesture - and generally, we trade the possibility of being seen staring, peering, or leering for the scene we’re apprehending. While our eyes may FEEL anonymous online, we speak with our gaze perhaps even more loudly in the digital town square.

In the attention economy, gaze is power and we are fighting for control of our own eyeballs. “Gaze Demon” stands on tiptoe, trying to peer around the information silos that we are consistently building for ourselves.
