Artist Statement for Vestigial Orbit
As a universe predicated on connection, we have been quite affected by the dramatic declines in physical-socialization between Earth-bound humans. Vestigial Orbit is part of our ongoing response.
While this has impacted our regularly scheduled programming, the external communications network here in Mathilda’s Universe remains committed to biting glamour and pluralistic thinking. We will continue to bring you permission and slippery gravity with our exploration of human and human-adjacent systems. All of our studies, reports and portals are double-slit and adhere to the highest levels of subjectivity.
It is important to note that this isolation of humans in singular or pack formations occurs while they are navigating additional threats such as climate change and dangerously hierarchical societies with broadly over-individualized conceptualizations of worth.
This agreement covers the consumption of any and all Mathilda’s Universe materials - materials defined to be offerings in any dimension of physical, metaphysical, or poetic space. Participation risks include, but are not limited to, psychological packet loss, fictional FOMO undertow, optimistic nihilism and uncomfortable effervescence. Please note that your existence is fleeting and take the appropriate precautions. Self-Permission is granted in entirety and without reservation, Responsibility remains your own and does not extend to the eventual heat death of the universe.
